Debating Science

Hi,

In case you didn't see this announcement from the Graduate School:

Debating Science 2008 program announcement

Graduate students who are inspired by their own research and are interested in exploring the social, political, and philosophical context of that work, and who are committed to sharing science with nonscientists in a genuine hope for a better world are encouraged to apply for the Debating Science Workshop set for Aug. 4 through 8 in Missoula, Mont.

Students can apply online at www.umt.edu/ethics/programs/debatingscience.html. The deadline is April 2. All students who are accepted into the program must take the course for credit and grade. The NSF covers the expenses associated with the course.

If you have any questions, contact Dane Scott, dane.scott@mso.umt.edu or (406) 243-6632.
